The Peachwood Pirates Swim Team is a summer recreational swim team affiliated with the Peachwood Recreation Club in Logan Township, NJ. Our season runs from Memorial Day to the first weekend of August. Meets are held on Saturdays beginning around the third weekend of June and ending with a league championship meet the end of July or early August.
Requirements to join:
- Per our league by-laws, all swim team members must be full members or employees of the club. We offer swim-season only memberships to families currently on the waiting list with children that want to be on the team.
- Children through age 18 or high school seniors are eligible to participate. New swimmers should be able to swim one lap of the pool without standing, holding a lane line or the wall, prior to joining the team. There is no minimum time to complete the lap.
The Peachwood Pirate Swim Team competes in the Suburban Swim Association of South Jersey swimming league. The league consists of teams across 3 divisions and 5 counties of South Jersey. The season comes to an end in a league championship the end of July or first weekend in August.
As a Gloucester County based team, the Pirates also compete across swim leagues in the Gloucester County Swim Championships named the Peach Bowl. The Peach Bowl is typically held on Tuesday evening during the last two weeks of July. All Gloucester County based swim clubs in the Suburban Swim Association and the Tri-County Swimming Pool Association leagues participate.
