General Board Member – 3 Year Term
Owen Getchter
Hi—my name is Owen Gechter and I am running for a general board position. I have been swimming here at Peachwood since the age of 5, and progressed on to lifeguard, manager, assistant swim coach and ultimately went on to become the head coach. After moving back from Florida, we re-joined the pool and have been members again for about 4 years. It has been absolutely surreal seeing my kids in the role of 2nd generation Peachwood Pirates and making new memories where we played and swam as a children. I have seen massive growth from then until now and it’s been an amazing transformation. Even still, I think there are even more options for this club in the future. I look forward to sharing my time, leadership and problem solving skills to help preserve and enhance Peachwood for our kids and for the next generation of members.

Megan Robertson
I am Megan Robertson. I have been a member of Peachwood since 2021. I have two children and they both swim for the Peachwood Pirates swim team. I joined the swim team board last year. I have strong ties to Peachwood as I was a lifeguard, Assistant Manager and Assistant swim team coach during my Highschool and College years. My parents were involved on the board through my whole childhood. I know the time and hard work that board members have to put in all year around to make Peachwood the best it can be during the summer months. The reason I want to become a member of the board is to be more involved and bring new ideas to the club.
General Board Member – 1 Year Term
Ryan King
My name is Ryan King and I have lived in Woolwich for the past 14 years and have been a bonded member of Peachwood Recreation Club for the past 5. It wasn’t until this past year when my two daughters, Nora and Evie ages 7 and 5, joined the swim team that I saw the Peachwood community as a whole and the important impact that it has on all of the swim members, but especially to the children growing up here. I saw the comradery and friendship throughout the pool of the older children and families who spend their summers here and I have been captivated by the importance of the Club in everyone’s lives. I realized the manpower and preparation that goes into planning every detail of the operation of the pool, facility, and activities and I want to help and be involved as much as possible in the sustainability, growth, and development of the Club as I get to watch my children grow up here over the next 12+ years. As a new member of the swim team, it was amazing how everyone was so helpful to my wife and me that I want to be an ambassador for others.
